Ann Muran, 84, a longtime resident of Arlington Heights, was the owner since 1970 of Sylvia’s Flowers in that village. Mrs. Muran, who was born in Skokie, died Friday in Northwest Continuing Care Center, Arlington Heights. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Arlington Heights, and a past president of the St. James Women’s Club. Survivors include three sons, Thomas, Donald and Joseph; two daughters, Phyllis Christensen and Cynthia Platt; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Matt and Nick Herff; and two sisters, Margaret Weidner and Helen Koch. Services were held Monday.
