I was amazed that the Tribune actually published “Conquering a Niagara of leaks,” by H. Brandt Ayers (Op-Ed, March 13).
It was a pointless, factless, rambling puff piece with only one statement to make: Bill Clinton is some kind of saint beleaguered by a relentless media that are out to destroy him. The president’s most fervent supporters don’t believe that. His own spokesman doesn’t believe that.
This essay was an insult to the Op-Ed page that brings us talented and insightful columnists such as Steve Chapman, Clarence Page and Georgie Anne Geyer.
