Katherine Barron, 86, a five-year resident of Barrington, formerly of River Grove, died Wednesday in Governors Park Nursing Home, Barrington. Mrs. Barron was a former assembly-line worker at Motorola. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting blankets for her grandchildren. She is survived by two sons, Bill and Bob; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine, followed by a mass at 11:30 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church, 2515 W. Palatine Rd., Inverness.
