Rose Barry, 83, a resident of Elmhurst since 1950, died Wednesday in her home. Mrs. Barry was 7 years old when she came to the U.S. from Czechoslovakia. Her family first settled in Pennsylvania, where her father worked in the coal mines. A homemaker, she was an amateur painter who enjoyed working with oils. Survivors include a son, Robert; two daughters, Patricia Kaminski and Marilyn; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mass will be said at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Visitation Catholic Church, 779 S. York Rd., Elmhurst.
