Hats off to Skip Bayless, your new sports columnist, especially after his Monday piece on Gene Keady of Purdue. His inaugural commentary Sunday was refreshing to read, especially in light of Bernie the Bitter’s perpetual ramblings. But Skip, you’ve got to learn Chicago vernacular: It’s “Iron Mike,” not “Ironhead Mike.” Ironhead is “Ironhead Heyward,” one of the many notorious Bears/Cubs free-agent busts, which you will get used to. But welcome aboard.
