Robert D. Hagg, 71, a retired advertising executive and longtime resident of Park Ridge, died March 15 of cancer in National Park Memorial Hospital in Hot Springs Village, Ark. Mr. Hagg had been Midwest regional manager of advertising for Hearst Publications for about 30 years. Later, he owned Hallmark stores in Arlington Heights, Park Ridge and Des Plaines. Prior to retiring to Hot Springs in 1993, Mr. Hagg was active in barbershop singing and was a member of The New Traditions Chorus of Northbrook. He also sang as the bass member of the Traditionaires quartet. In Hot Springs, he sang with the Hot Springs Fun City Chorus and was an active choir member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Hot Springs Village. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn; a son, Art; two daughters, Susan Barnum and Christine McVoy; and nine grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Sunday in Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Hot Springs Village.
