Daniel E. Ryan, 69, of Buffalo Grove, died Wednesday in Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights. Mr. Ryan received his bachelor’s degree in business from Michigan State University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked for Allied Chemical in Toledo and New Jersey. He moved his family to Livonia, Mich., where they stayed for 18 years before moving to Chicago, where he retired in 1994 as senior vice president of TBG. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Mary “Mollie”; two daughters, Katherine Gehringer and Mary; two sons, Thomas and Michael; and five grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday in Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights. Prayers will be said at 9:15 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home, to be followed by a 10 a.m. mass in St. Mary Catholic Church, 75 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., Buffalo Grove.
