The annual series of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture tours is about to begin, so get out your walking shoes or oil up your bicycle. The 90-minute guided tours, run by the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio Foundation of Oak Park, offer a peek at exteriors only. They start on April 5 with a walking tour of Victorian homes by a variety of architects – including an early shingle-style house by Wright – and run through November. Later events include a May 3 walking tour of Wright’s homes in River Forest, guided bicycle tours of Wright-designed homes in Oak Park on June 7 and Aug. 2, and a July 5 walking tour of 24 Oak Park buildings by Wright and his Prairie School contemporaries. The tours cost $8 for adults, $6 for senior citizens and for children ages 7 to 18. All depart at 2 p.m. For departure locations and other information, call the Home and Studio Foundation at 708-848-1976.
