The Tribune and most Chicago media deserve a big “thank you” for the well-deserved coverage of Valparaiso University’s achievements in the NCAA Tournament. Homer Drew, Bryce Drew and the entire team have accomplished the nearly impossible–through hard work and perseverance.
Throughout the nation newscasters are telling the story of this father-son success story. Both men are wholesome, sincere role models whose lives and beliefs greatly contrast the antics of some other professional and college athletes. They’re a breath of fresh air in an otherwise overly hyped sport.
