Muriel Plummer, 91, of Sandwich died Thursday in Willow Crest Nursing Center in Sandwich. Formerly of Naperville, Mrs. Plummer was a retired grade school teacher who taught for nearly a half-century–10 years in the Potterville, Mich., school system and about 40 years in the Marine City, Mich., school system. She was a longtime member of the Marine City United Methodist Church, where she served in the Women’s Club, several church circles, the education commission and as a Sunday school teacher. Mrs. Plummer also served as a Girl Scout leader, a member of the Rotary Anns, and volunteered at the local hospital. Survivors include a son, James; and a grandson. Services will be held Tuesday in Marine City, Mich.
