Dr. William Kopperud, 97, a longtime resident of Oak Park and a Loop dentist for 46 years until his retirement in 1966, died Sunday in Beacon Hill Health Care Center in Lombard. Dr. Kopperud was a faculty member of the Northwestern University Dental School for eight years in the 1930s. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Kopperud; a son, Dr. William H. Kopperud; a daughter, Joan Parker; a sister, Annie Sieben; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held Tuesday in Lombard.
