Ella C. Hitzeman, 99, a retired receptionist and assistant at Hitzeman Funeral Home Ltd., Brookfield–formerly in Chicago–died Sunday in Alden Town Manor nursing home in Cicero. Mrs. Hitzeman, was the second wife of Frederick Hitzeman, founder of Hitzeman Funeral Home Ltd. She was active at Christ Lutheran Church in Oak Park. Mrs. Hitzeman is survived by a stepson, George Hitzeman; 28 grandchildren; and more than 100 great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Hitzeman Funeral Home Ltd., 9445 W. 31st St., Brookfield. Visitation will continue from noon until 1 p.m. Thursday at Christ Lutheran Church, Harvard and East Avenues in Oak Park, followed by services.
