Bertram S. Shepard, 81, a commercial artist formerly of Glen Ellyn, died Sunday in St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Hot Springs, Ark. Mr. Shepard most recently was a resident of Hot Springs Village, Ark. He served with the Army Air Corps during World War II and maintained an art studio in Chicago until his retirement in 1982. Survivors include his wife, Lois; a son, William “Bill”; three daughters, Peggy Schneider, Barbara Schmitt and Marjorie Wagner; three grandchildren; and a sister. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Leonard Memorial Home Ltd., 565 Duane St., Glen Ellyn. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
