Many years ago, the Grant Park underground garage offered both valet and self-park options. Valet parking cost more, but I was willing to pay extra because I felt safer letting someone else walk through the poorly lit aisles. When that service was dropped, I stopped parking down there. You are right that $6 a day is a bargain (Editorial, April 11). Paying another couple of dollars for valet parking would be worth it to me.
