Edwin “Ed” Goldman, an official with the state Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities, died Saturday at Hoffman Estates Medical Center. He was 67. Mr. Goldman, a Hoffman Estates resident, was an assistant to the associate director for clinical services. During his 46-year career, he held various posts at the John J. Madden Mental Health Center and the Elgin Mental Health Center. He is survived by his wife, Joan; two sons, Neil and Roy; two daughters, Sheila Gibbs and Lynn; a brother, Robert; and seven grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday.
