Regarding Daniel J. Sobieski’s letter calling Walt Whitman’s “Leaves of Grass” “a book of love poems” (Voice, April 13). Whitman’s poems were mainly about his love of humanity, the beauty of nature, the freedom of the open road and his joyous love of life itself. I suggest Mr. Sobieski give “Leaves of Grass” another reading.
