Shakespeare takes a zany turn Saturday night at the Oak Park Festival Theatre’s Shakespeare’s Shorts. An unlikely array of lawyers, elected officials, ministers and others will interpret the Bard’s most delectable comic characters. They paid $100 apiece to be cast, with the proceeds benefiting the theater’s upcoming adaptation of “Don Quixote.” Who knows what mischief and mirth await! The show begins at 8 p.m. at Nineteenth Century Women’s Club, 178 Forest Ave., Oak Park. Tickets (which include food and drink) cost $25 for theater members, $30 for non-members, $10 for students 18 and younger. 708-524-2050.
