Evelyn A. Amerman, 83, of Harvard died Wednesday in Valley-Hi Nursing Home in Hartland Township. She was a farmer and a nursing assistant at Viroqua-Bethel Nursing Home in Viroqua, Wis. Until 1994, she was a crossing guard for the City of Harvard, patrolling near St. Joseph School. She was a member of the American Legion for 52 years. She also belonged to Women of the Moose, Golden Agers, Capron Grange, Harvard Women’s Club and Harvard Senior Citizens Group. She was a recipient of a Life Blood Donor award for her contributions to blood banks. Mrs. Amerman’s survivors include two daughters, Shirley Walter and Linda Thompson; four sons, Ronald, James, Thomas and Johnny Radloff; a brother, Jerry Young; and a sister, Golda Cutler; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; four step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home Ltd., 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church, 1100 N. Division St., Harvard. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the church.
