Steve J. Vargo, 84, of Aurora, died Sunday in Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora. An Aurora native, Mr. Vargo once owned his own refrigerator business and later was chief engineer at Community Hospital in Geneva. He was an a fisherman and belonged to the Blackberry Hill Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He is survived by his wife, Daisy; a daughter, Nancy; three sons, Ernie, Mike and Gary; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Blackberry Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 261 Ashland Ave., Aurora.
