Myrtle Galitz, 81, a retired accountant, formerly of Mt. Prospect, died Wednesday in Elmhurst Extended Care Center. Mrs. Galitz was born in Chicago. She was an accountant for Union Oil Co., Schaumburg. She is survived by a son, Gary; a daughter, Janice Teed; a sister; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd., Mt. Prospect. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Lutheran Church of Martha and Mary, 606 W. Golf Rd., Mt. Prospect.
