Congratulations on a great article (“Up an Downbeat,” April 12, Arts & Entertainment). I really enjoyed the information about Miles Davis’ career, from the beginnings to the decay of his quintet. I also appreciate the fact that you take the time to explain how his group changed in musical terms. It is so rare that this type of indepth coverage of new releases is found in a daily paper.
