Earl Rasmussen, 78, of Cherokee Village, Ark., and formerly of Crystal Lake, died Tuesday in his residence. Mr. Rasmussen retired in 1981 after 25 years with the Americana Interstate Corp. in Mundelein, where he served as president of Americana Annual Corp. and vice president of administration. Mr. Rasmussen served in the Army during World War II and received the Purple Heart. Survivors include his wife, Lucille; a daughter, Ella; four sons, Joseph, Frank, Philip and David; three sisters; a brother; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday in George R. Justen & Son Funeral Home, 3519 W. Elm St., McHenry. A mass will be said at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Thomas Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.
