John H. Collins, 58, a longtime banker and president of ABN AMRO Services Corp. in Chicago, died Thursday in his Chicago home. He formerly served as chief operating officer of European-American Bank in New York. In 1957, Mr. Collins was drafted by the Brooklyn Dodgers and was a pitcher for the Dodgers’ AAA farm team until 1960. Mr. Collins served on the boards oyf the LaSalle Street Council, Junior Achievement and the Loyola Center for Business Ethics. Survivors include his wife, Arlene; his mother, Annette McNamara; three daughters, Maureen, Nancy and Kathleen; a son, Thomas; a sister, Joan Crowe; and a grandchild. A mass will be said at 10 a.m. Monday in Old St. Patrick’s Church, 700 W. Adams St., Chicago.
