Hyman Applebaum, 82, of Chicago, retired executive of a glove manufacturing firm, died Saturday in Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago. He was secretary of Allied Glove Corp., a Milwaukee-based manufacturer of gloves for military and industrial uses. The business was started in 1917 by his father, Harry, and now involves a third generation of Applebaums. He was born in Chicago and graduated from Schurz High School, where he was a long jumper on the track team. Mr. Applebaum is survived by a daughter, Lisa Donatelli; two sons, Robert and Terry; two brothers, Sol and Nathan; and six grandchildren. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in Waldheim Jewish Cemetery, Gate 215, 18th Street and Harlem Avenue, Forest Park.
