I cannot believe the grammatical errors and redundancies I see in your paper every day. Your writers are truly journalists? Your editors are truly editors? Do they (or you?) know what “editing” means?
In a recent edition I again saw “loan” used as a verb instead of a noun. Among many other mistakes I observe regularly are the following redundancies: “While at the same time.” “But yet.” “So therefore.” “And yet.” “But still.” “That’s the reason why.” (“That’s the reason,” or “That’s why,” but not both!)
And not too long ago I saw a comment by sportswriter Steve Rosenbloom that was “true fact.” If it weren’t true, it wouldn’t be a fact.
Are you so bottom-line concerned that you can’t afford to pay for journalists who can actually write correctly?
