Your May 6 editorial “For Bibi, the moment of truth” was so unbalanced, so unfair, so distorted as it relates to the people and prime minister of Israel that it honestly does not deserve the dignity of a reply.

Suffice it to say that no administration, not even with the apparent good will of our present American administration, can in good conscience presume to dictate what the security needs are for another people and country. We Americans would certainly not kowtow to such an arrangement, no matter how well-meaning.

Only Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the other democratically elected representatives of Israel have the right to make such a life-and-death decision. May we dare to hope that sometime during our lifetimes, the Tribune will finally understand this simple concept!
