A plan to preserve open space in rapidly growing New Lenox will be discussed at a meeting of the Village Board and Plan Commission Monday.
Planning consultant Chris Lannert, who worked on the village’s comprehensive plan and is working on a study for a plan to preserve green space, will meet with village officials.
With many subdivisions in the planning and construction phase, village officials have said they want to make a special effort to keep the open atmosphere.
