Clint Yactor doesn’t waste much time deciding what to wear to school. The 17-year-old simply flings open his closet doors and dresser drawers to find his trademark red-and-black wardrobe. Then he picks from his 160 shirts, eight ties, 23 hats, pajamas, watches and other apparel – all sporting the Chicago Bulls logo.

It makes for an un-bull-ievable fashion statement. And it’s no passing fad. For more than 1,000 straight school days, Yactor has worn only Chicago Bulls clothing to school.

“My friends think it’s cool and different,” said Yactor, a junior at Palatine High School. “I’m just a big Bulls fan.”

His stylish streak began in the 6th grade when he and a friend vowed to wear only Bulls apparel to school. “It was just a friendly bet,” Yactor said. “My friend lasted about a week, but I didn’t.”

He searches everywhere for the latest and greatest clothing featuring his favorite basketball team. His top choices include airbrushed Bulls T-shirts from Florida. Even when he wears a Bulls tie to school, he still wears a Bulls T-shirt underneath his dress shirt.

Yactor’s fanaticism isn’t just head to toe – it’s wall to wall. Look in his bedroom and you’ll find Bulls posters on the ceilings, Bulls pillows and other Bulls memorabilia. And the obsession has paid off. As a freshman, he wrote to the Bulls telling them about his streak. “They gave me free Bulls tickets to the playoff game,” he said. “That was worth everything.”

He’s now planning his fashion retirement – probably to coincide with his high school graduation. “It’s going to have to stop sometime,” he said. “I can’t go to school all of my life.”
