Virginia D. Jeter, 87, of Naperville since 1990, died Thursday at Alden Nursing Center in Naperville. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mrs. Jeter was primarily a homemaker, living with her family in several residences between New York and Virginia for much of her life. After falling ill, she moved to Naperville in 1990 to be near her family. Among her special interests, Mrs. Jeter was a member of the Virginia Rebecca Association, a fraternal organization, and also the Sweet Adelines, a singing group. Survivors include two daughters, Gail Majestic and Valerie Michael; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister. Services will begin at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 A. Mill St., Naperville, followed by a mass at 9:30 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 26 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville.
