I wonder how the personnel at Ravenswood Hospital would feel if that had been their child left ignored and untreated? Would they understand the hospital personnel’s concern for obeying “official hospital protocol”?
I am outraged at each individual at Ravenswood Hospital who was more concerned about obeying the letter of the law than doing the right thing. Working for a large institution and abiding by its rules does not free each individual from doing what is right, even if in doing so that individual risks censure or the loss of a job.
