The Bartlett Public Works Committee met Tuesday night to consider a bicycle path that would be built along West Bartlett and Naperville Roads.

Plans for the project call for the path starting at Park Place Drive, extending west on West Bartlett Road, crossing Illinois Highway 59 and continuing west onto Naperville Road. From there, the path would head north on the east side of Naperville Road to New Spaulding Road and tie into an existing path at the Amber Grove subdivision.

The proposed path would be 10 feet wide with a 2-foot grassy shoulder on each side.

The cost of the new path is estimated at nearly $800,000.
