Ruth V. Hauschild, a former schoolteacher with the Wheeling and Mundelein school districts, died Saturday at her home in Evans, Ga. She was 78. Mrs. Hauschild was born in Tomahawk, Wis., then moved with her family to the Chicago area, where she received her master’s degree at the National College of Education in Evanston. During World War II, Mrs. Hauschild was an officer in the Navy and worked in control-tower operations in Washington, D.C. and Oklahoma. After getting married, she and husband Dick Hauschild lived in Libertyville and Arlington Heights. They moved to Augusta, Ga. in 1987. In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, Dick; a daughter, Paula Barton; a sister, Barbara Bresemann; and three grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday in Martinez, Ga.
