David R. Barrett, 71, died Tuesday in his Downers Grove home. Born in Downers Grove, Mr. Barrett was a sheet metal worker for a construction company. He also served in the Navy during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Elinor; two sons, Thomas and Daniel; a daughter, Katherine Dickey; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a sister. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday in Adams-Winterfield & Sullivan Funeral Home, 4343 Main St., Downers Grove.
