Peter J. “Jim” Almeroth, 88, of Wheaton, died Monday in Lexington Health Care Center in Lombard. Born in Chicago, Mr. Almeroth was a salesman in the cement industry. He also was a 1929 graduate of St. Ignatius High School and was president of the Holy Name Society of St. Monica Church, Santa Monica, Calif. Survivors include a son, Peter Joseph; a daughter, Kathryn Elizabeth Roling; five grandchildren; and two brothers. A memorial mass will be said at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Daniel the Prophet Catholic Church, 101 W. Loop Rd., Wheaton.
