If swing ain’t your thing and you’d rather die than bop to hip-hop, then International Tap Day, which is Monday, might show you moves to get you grooving.
An open tap jam session will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Dance Gallery, 10628 S. Western Ave., which kicks off a weekend filled with free activities in the Beverly neighborhood. Not to be outdone, Chicago’s Human Rhythm Project celebrates tap day with public performances of area tap dancers 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Boulevard Arts Center, 1525 W. 60th St. Admission: $5.
