The Palatine Village Council has granted final approval to two large subdivisions planned for the intersection of Quentin Road and Euclid Avenue.
By a 5-1 vote, Peregrine Lake Estates was approved for the 29.2-acre site on the northwest corner of the intersection.
Carriageway Builders of Palatine will build 60 townhouses of 1,700 to 2,800 square feet and 39 single-family homes of 3,200 to 3,500 square feet.
Village Manager Michael Kadlecik said that in the final agreement was the council’s request to add two deciduous trees with 2-inch-diameter trunks to each of the 10 lots in the Hunting Ridge subdivision that abuts the property.
The Wexford subdivision by Kimball Hill homes of Rolling Meadows was also approved by a 5-1 vote. That project entails 79 single-family homes on 65.3 acres at the southeast corner of the intersection.
