The Plan Commission next month will consider changing the allowable building height in the Glen Ellyn central business district.
Residents in March made comments on slides showing structures of varied height and setback. Consultants from Planning Resources Inc., of Wheaton compiled the results.
“People reacted more positively to pictures of downtown buildings from communities similar to Glen Ellyn or from Glen Ellyn itself,” said Amy Bell, project planner.
Planning Resources has recommended a reduction in allowable building height in the downtown area to 45 feet from 55 feet, according to Bell.
The Plan Commission will conduct a public hearing on June 11.
