Frank E. Diaz, 55, founder, former president and chief executive officer of Kemper Service Co., died May 17. Mr. Diaz worked for banks in Arizona and Colorado before moving to Chicago to become vice president of securities development for Continental Illinois National Bank and Trust Co. In 1983, he moved to Kemper Financial Services, resigning in 1994 as president of Kemper Service Co. He was often quoted in Tribune stories dealing with computerizing the workplace. Mr. Diaz was a former president of the board of the Latino Institute. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; a son, John; his mother, Connie; three brothers, Robert, Joseph and Richard; a sister, Julie; and two grandchildren. A memorial service was held Wednesday.
