Daniel R. Adams, 51, of Chicago, an attorney and former high school biology teacher, died Wednesday in his home. Mr. Adams got his teaching degree from Chicago Teachers College and taught biology for eight years in several Chicago public high schools. He later decided to switch careers and received a law degree from DePaul Law School. Mr. Adams had his law practice in Chicago. He also worked for 20 years as a hearing mediator and an administrative judge for the Illinois Department of Labor. “He was full of life, and didn’t want to grow up,” said his daughter, Gina. Other survivors include two sisters, Juanita McGloin and Cindy Taylor; a brother, Russell Stevens; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5800 W. 63rd St. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
