Curtiss E. Crippen, 90, a native of Austin, Minn. and former president and vice chairman of the Milwaukee Railroad, died Monday in Gig Harbor, Wash. He was with the company for his entire 45-year business career. Mr. Crippen was an Eagle Scout. He received a degree in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1930 and soon after, married Mary Pierce Crippen, his wife of 55 years. During World War II, he served as a lieutenant colonel in the Army and received a Bronze Star during his wartime service. Mr. Crippen is survived by his daughter, Mary Marshall; a son, Dick; a brother, Don; a sister, Helen; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Kenilworth Union Church, 211 Kenilworth Ave., Kenilworth.
