Commonwealth Edison keeps trying to buffalo people into believing their service is improving, but we lost power three times in five days at the end of May–not from a storm but due to sheer negligence on the part of this utility in replacing needed components. Mayor Richard Daley is right to hold this company accountable for their actions.

When other companies are able to bid to get my business, people in my area as well as many other customers will be taking a serious look at switching over. ComEd pays its executives huge salaries plus bonuses. This money should be diverted to paying the workers who actually do the work. This company obviously has more bosses than workers.

Thanks to Mayor Daley, at least one elected official decided to take a stand for the citizens of Chicago. One would hope that others will take the same tough stand soon!
