I liked your “Monster Mosh” story (May 10, Arts & Entertainment). I liked most of your outcomes but I doubt some and will voice my opinion about some of these battles. I apologize about my tardiness of commenting about this article.
My first problem comes in the Round 1 match up of Chucky and Godzilla. We’re talking about the King of the Monsters. His time can’t be wasted on a small and demented doll. More fitting opponents would have been the Predator of the movie “Predator” or the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man of “Ghostbusters.” Though Godzilla would still win, he would like a challenge.
My second problem comes in another Round 1 match up; The Thing and the Killer Tomatoes. The Thing would simply rip those tomatoes to shreds. One punch and he’s got it. He’s got one hand in there so he takes the other hand and rips the tomato in half. What are the tomatoes going to do?
My third complaint is about the Main Event. I’m a huge Godzilla fan and I believe you underestimate the power of Godzilla.
Godzilla would fire the snot out of The Blob. Also, Godzilla could barricade The Blob with buildings while he carries over an ice factory to finish him off.
