Gordon “Pete” E. Pedersen, 74, a Glen Ellyn resident for more than 40 years, died Wednesday in Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. Born in Denmark, Mr. Pedersen was a World War II Navy veteran. He was the former owner of Glen Ellyn Bike Shop and worked as an auditor for the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority. Survivors include his wife, Ethel; two daughters, Diane Erckman and Karen Staff; a sister; and two grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Faith Lutheran Church, 41 N. Park Blvd., Glen Ellyn.
