Hartwell E. McGuinn, 74, a retired Chicago Police Department detective, died Tuesday in Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. Mr. McGuinn was born in Omaha, and was a resident of Chicago until moving to Wheaton in 1991. He served with the Navy during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Marliese; two daughters, Debbie Watson and Char Weinberg; and five grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 until services at 7 p.m. Friday in Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Rd., Wheaton.
