I agree with Alan Brunettin (“Mall madness,” Voice, June 6) that there are some serious concerns that should be addressed about the plans to create a huge mall next to the established downtown area. He asks who can help him and others fight this.

Have the people who signed petitions considered pooling their resources, hiring an attorney and filing suit to block the project on the grounds that their livelihoods and/or quality of life are threatened by the project? The delays that would result should cause the potential developers to lose interest and the project to be shelved.

I’m not in favor of running to the courts to solve every problem, but maybe nothing else will work in this situation.
