Alex Johnston, 80, a warehouse manager for Spiegel Inc. for 44 years, died Thursday in Edward Hospital, Naperville. Mr. Johnston was born April 16, 1918, in Chicago and was an Army veteran of World War II. He began working at Spiegel in 1939 and remained their until 1983. He had lived in Naperville since 1987, when he moved from Lisle. He is survived by a son, Stephen; a sister, Evelyn Brown; and two grandsons. Mass will be said at 9:30 a.m. Monday in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 26 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville.
