George E. Flynn, 94, of Crystal Lake, died Sunday in Memorial Medical Center in Woodstock. He had been a longtime summer resident of Crystal Lake before retiring from the Chicago Fire Department and moving to the city permanently in 1964. Survivors include three daughters, Peg Birmingham, Kathleen Norris and Maureen Holman; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday in Querhammer Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, with a Christian wake service at 7:30 p.m. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Illinois Highway 176 and Oak Street, Crystal Lake.
