John R. Edgar, 67, of Palatine, a retired maintenance department clerk at Borden Foods Corp., Northbrook, died Tuesday, in his home. He was a former resident of Wheeling. Mr. Edgar served 23 years on active duty in the Navy. Survivors include a son, Bruce; five daughters, Nancy Forque, Sally Marie, Jodie Dupree, Sherry DeChambre and Joni Thornton; two stepsons, Danny Bloom and Joel Bloom; his mother, Gertrude; and 10 grandchildren. Services were held Friday.
