What a welcome column by Douglas Kmiec (“A genuine proposal,” Op-Ed, June 1). I didn’t know such men existed in our society anymore.
If there were more men of responsibility and commitment such as Mr. Kmiec, how much better our society would be. How fortunate his wife and children are to have such a husband and father–and what a courageous one at that! It was almost unbelievable for me to read such a lovely piece in this day and age.
God bless him and his family; I sincerely hope there are many more like him in our society.
Congratulations to him, and thanks for a glimmer of hope.
