I would like to know how smaller cities like Cleveland, Phoenix, Milwaukee, Toronto, Denver, St. Louis, and San Francisco can put together the financing and build state-of-the-art sports facilities while we, the loyal sports fans of Chicago, are stuck with the worst football stadium in the country.
As much as Jerry Reinsdorf and Bill Wirtz are despised in this town, they are still good businessmen who know how to get things done here. If Michael McCaskey wasn’t so condescending, he could have had his new stadium built a long time ago. If Ed and Virginia McCaskey are concerned about their family’s future involving the Bears, they should start talking to some powerful people about a new place for their team to play, and they should tell their son to brush up on his business skills.
